"AGAPE" is the Greek word meaning "unconditional love". It is our philosophy here at AGAPE Volleyball Club that love precedes success. Therefore, it is our goal to teach kids to LOVE the game, LOVE each other and in turn have that LOVE effect every aspect of their lives.
Developed exclusively for AGAPE Volleyball by Club Director Jenna Bouey, the curriculum is designed around sports psychology theories proven to increase mental toughness, self-confidence, and self-esteem on and off the volleyball court. Each Agape Volleyball Player will be given a workbook at the beginning of the season which includes different lessons on mental toughness, sports confidence and self-confidence, sports nutrition, goal setting and servant leadership. They will do these exercises with their coach and team every week for about 15-20 minutes. This coursework has been developed by Club Director Jenna Bouey who has a background in Sports Psychology with a B.S in Psychology and an M.A in Educational Counseling. This curriculum is unique to Agape Volleyball, and each coach is very excited to improve the mental toughness, focus, and character of your student-athlete!
